1. I think that Hideyo is great person in this book so far because he takes care of his family and haves a job. He is also a courageous person because he is a soldier in Nanam. He also is brave throughout everything that happened his skin getting burnt from the trains sparks and watching many people dying from the train. I think that his place in the family is very strong everyone cares about each other.
2. I would bring a water jug.I would bring that because i might get thirsty while i am traveling. The second thing that I would bring is some can food and some pans and pots, but I would what to travel light or walk light so it wouldn't be too much stuff in my sack.
3. I was really shocked when Hideyo and his friends hid in the building and didn't get killed after all of those people got killed and how they escaped the building before it blew up, but the Japanese still lost the war.

anyways-
1: I agree that Hideyo is a good person. He cares a lot about his family and would help them no matter what. He does a lot that is necessary for survival and is not afraid to do it which makes him a natural leader.
2:I would bring the same stuff and not to many other things so i dont get weighed down by all that heavy stuff.
3: I think that they got lucky for part of the escape. Hideyo's freinds were lucky that the Korean soldiers didnt look where they were hiding.

1. I agree with you a lot, and also think that he is a very brave person. But Hideyo wasn't in the war, he was just helping out with the war.
3. I agree with you in this part, but I think that there are a lot more horrifying things in the book. But, yeah, I was also shocked at how he saw his friends get killed and how he survived through all of it.

1) yeah i think that Hideye is a great person too and yes i think he's courages too. i agree with you on his family, that they take care of each other.

3)Hideyo was really lucky that time and i was supprised that the guy wouldnt check in the bathroom, where all his friends were hiding.
1.I think Hideeyo is very courageous and determined. I agree that his family loves eachother and really take good care of eachother. That showed when his family begged him not to go to the amunition factory.
2.I think that you chose really smart things to bring.
3. I think it was awsome when his friends were still alive. I felt excited reading it. It was kind of puzzling that they didn't know that they lost the war.
