I am Jeremy Finch(Scout's Sister), Atticus is our father. We met a boy named Charles"Dill"Harris and Scout told him the story about Boo Radley. Boo Radley is apart of the Radley family, he has been locked in his room for 15 years. Calpurnia is out housekeeper/ second mom, she taught Scout how to read. It seemed like Scout was kind of sad when Dill had to leave, he comes down to Maycomb every summer to visit his aunt Rachel.

Summer is over and it's time for scout and I to go back to school. Scout started school today and I didn't want her to irk me. Since she was unfamiliar with the school, I had to show her where her room was. Scout told me that Ms. Caroline told her to tell Atticus to not teach her to read anymore because he was teaching it to her the wrong way. I don't believe what Ms. Caroline said, maybe she is just jealous that she already knows how to read. I think that she really didn't have to pronounce that she shouldn't be learning how to read from her father. What she said sounded like she was trying to intimidate her. Scout told Atticus that she didn't want to go to school anymore and they had compromised a decision that if she goes to school he will continue to teach her how to read.
