Project Title: The Mural Project

PURPOSE: In this section, explain what you were supposed to learn and what you were supposed to do.




The purpose of this project was to learn about the aztec culture. In order to learn about the Aztec culture we had to read different kinds of pakects that told us about the Aztec life and we filled out a sheet for that. Next, we were assigned a group to work with and we all decided to paint an Aztec sun god.

WHAT I LEARNED
In this section, tell what information or skills you learned or improved.







During this project I learned about the aztec sun god and different the aztecs.During this project I learned how to draw and scketch complex painting and I learned how to mix different kinds of paints and to understand how the aztec culture works. I also learned that the sun god was the main god that the Aztecs looked up to and tried to please although they had many other gods. The Aztecs would do almost anything to please the sun god and they even sacrificed humans to “him”. So from knowing that we knew that we wanted to do something that had to do with the important sun god.
REFLECTION
In this section, reflect on your experience. Did you like the project? Why or why not? How did you do? What would you do differently next time?








I enjoyed this project because I got a better understanding of what the aztec sun god meant and because I like to learn about different cultures. I feel like I could have done better on this project because I sometimes I would kind of slack on the painting, but other than that I think I did a pretty good job on this project. Next time, I would choose a less complex picture because there was a lot of detail that we had to do on our mural and we took a little longer than other people.
